Hi there! Welcome to That Slinky Blog. I can't wait to share all of the crazy ideas/rants/ramblings that I have swimming around in my head with you.
Let me start off by telling you a little about me. I am a NY transplant in South Florida, who can't believe it took me as long as it did to finally decide to move down here. I am 27 years old, happily married, and a fur-mom to 2 furry children. We have a cat named Tim, who we rescued when he was only a few weeks old and needed to be bottle fed, and a Corgi named Wilson, who has been my partner in crime for almost 6 years now.
We moved to Florida years ago in July and I haven't looked back since (I was the one who had the hardest time agreeing to the idea of moving, go figure). You can't beat the sunshine and warm beach weather pretty much all year. There's always something to do and the beaches are amazing.
I am a Behavior Technician for kiddos with Autism and have been working in home/school settings for almost 8 years now. I love being able to help these kids and their families out. I am also going to school for medical billing and coding and will be taking my coding certification exam in June. On top of all of that I am an independent consultant with Jamberry Nails. For anyone who knows me, I am a total spaz when it comes to doing my nails, but with Jamberry, I was able to achieve amazingly bold designs and combinations with just a few steps and they lasted me 2+ weeks on my hands (with washing all of the time) and 4+ on my toes (while gallivanting on the beaches of South Florida). Pretty sweet and totally a product I can stand behind.
Stay tuned for more amazing things coming from That Slinky Blog!

Well, Hello!
I decided to start this blog as a way to show off some of the amazing DIYs created for my wedding that passed in November, as well as showcase some amazing products. I've never been much of a writer or one to show off the things that I've made. I'll be posting my bio and about me a little later today.
For our wedding I created almost everything. I made our centerpieces, place setting cards, bouquets, boutonnieres, invites/belly bands, thank yous, and countless other items. I decided to do most of the work myself so that I could say I did it and that I could make it how I wanted it to be.
Aside from planning this wedding I also worked 2 jobs and have a direct sales business, Jamberry. I never thought I'd sell for a D.S. company, but I fell in love with the product and figured, what the heck! So I'll be posting some reviews on products from Jamberry as well as some other amazing direct sales companies. Also, there will be some recipes on occasion, because I love to cook!
I can't wait to start posting and sharing with everyone!
